RESEARCH INTEREST

Claudia is interested in tracking hand motion among children with cerebral palsy with Seattle Children’s Hospital. The goal is to determine how accelerometer-based measures of wrist movement can be used to inform clinical care and what design for the accelerometer works best for those needs.

Albert is interested in how different parameters, including type of supplier, color and speed, affect the optimal outcome in 3D printing. Also, he is interested in improving an orthotic device for people who suffer from Spinal Cord Injury by using varying fabrication methods with 3D-printers.

Lekha used the OpenBCI platform to conduct long-term EMG studies for future medical treatment applications. She also processed accelerometry data to assess the effectiveness of Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy in cerebral palsy patients.
