Congratulations to Dr. Kat Steele, Named a 2026 ASB Fellow

We were proud to celebrate Dr. Kat Steele being named a 2026 Fellow of the American Society of Biomechanics (ASB), one of the society’s highest honors recognizing sustained and impactful contributions to the field.

Kat will be inducted at the 2026 ASB Annual Business Meeting in Vancouver, Canada, held in conjunction with the World Congress of Biomechanics (WCB). She joins an outstanding cohort of new Fellows whose work has advanced biomechanics research, education, and service.

Congratulations – Ally Clarke receives ASB Student Travel Award!

We’re excited to share that Ally Clarke has been selected to receive a Student Travel Award from the American Society of Biomechanics (ASB) to attend the 2025 ASB Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh, PA. This award supports students who have authored abstracts accepted for presentation. Ally’s abstract Influence of Bodyweight Support on Motor Control in Children with Cerebral Palsy was selected for presentation at the meeting, and we’re proud to see her work recognized and supported by the biomechanics community.

Kat Steele is awarded the American Society of Biomechanics Young Investigator Award

Kat SteeleOur lab is very happy to announce that Dr. Kat Steele is the winner of the prestigious American Society of Biomechanics Young Investigator Award. This annual award recognizes early achievements by promising young scientists. Kat will present her work during a special awards session at the annual ASB meeting August 2-5, 2016 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She will also be featured in an article in the Journal of Biomechanics. Go Kat!
